What Exactly is this?
This is a TRUE 8x4 VGA Matrix Switcher/Router which means that you can connect 8 VGA sources (Computer, video, etc) and 4 VGA Destinations (Projectors, Displays, Recorders, etc). Via the magic in the box ANY SOURCE can be electronically switched to ANY DESTINATION without any manual wiring or patching. You may have seen these on eBay before and there may be some up for bid right now but there are several things that make ours special. First off, see our feedback- We don't leave our buyers unhappy, Second, we have electronic engineers and technicians on staff that have refurbished and re-certified every aspect of these units to 100% perfect, this includes rebuilding fans and power supplies allowing us to provide a full 6 month warranty. Also included is an RS232 Cable and Software for a standard pc to control it + Full Manuals in PDF. A Word About VGA & RGBHV This is a RGBHV (Red, Green, Blue, Horizontal & Vertical) analog switcher often called VGA because PC computer monitors adopted the RGBHV signal set and the first monitors that used it were called VGA monitors. Simply stated this switcher will pass five signals, 3 of them are standard video channels (RGB) and two of them are optimized for digital sync signals and can be used for digital audio if needed. Using VGA to BNC breakout cables this switcher can be used for HDTV & Digital Audio. Controlling your system We include software and cables to allow to control this unit from a Windows PC. The system accepts RS232 serial commands and has optional easy to use front panels for manual switching (please see options below). We also have in development a low cost IR receiver and remote control option coming soon.
