Information we collect
When you place an order
- Your name, billing address, shipping address, email address and telephone number
- The items you ordered and the order total
- Your IP address and browser information, recorded with the order for fraud prevention
Payment information
We never see or store your card details. Payments are processed by PayPal, and card data is handled entirely on their systems. We receive only confirmation that payment succeeded and a transaction reference. PayPal’s own privacy policy governs what they do with that information.
When you create an account
Your email address, an encrypted password, and any addresses you choose to save for future orders.
When you contact us
Whatever you include in your message. We keep it so we can help you, and so we have the history if you contact us again.
Automatically, as you browse
Standard web server logs (IP address, pages requested, timestamps, browser type) and cookies, described below.
Cookies
- Essential cookies keep your shopping cart working and keep you signed in. Checkout cannot function without them.
- Performance cookies are used by our page caching to serve pages faster.
- Analytics and advertising cookies may be set if you arrive from, or interact with, our Google Shopping listings.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but essential cookies are required for checkout to work.
How we use your information
- To process, fulfil and ship your order
- To contact you about your order
- To handle returns, refunds and warranty questions
- To detect and prevent fraud
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send marketing email unless you have asked us to.
Who we share it with
- PayPal — to take payment
- Shipping carriers such as USPS — your name and address, so your order can be delivered
- Google — product and order information where required to operate our Google Shopping listings
- Our web host, DreamHost, which stores the site and its database
- Law enforcement or regulators, where we are legally required to do so
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for at least seven years to satisfy tax and accounting requirements. Account information is kept until you ask us to delete it. Contact messages are kept for two years.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete your information, except where we are legally required to keep it (order and tax records)
- Stop contacting you
Email jmayesdeals@jmayes.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are a California resident these rights are yours under the CCPA, and we will not treat you differently for exercising them.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
The site runs entirely over HTTPS. Passwords are stored encrypted. Card details never reach our servers. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect what we hold.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
